Transition to Polytrade

As we mentioned in our last message, in line with this partnership, Anotherblock has now minted new NFTs and today, airdropped them to all current holders, ensuring seamless integration with Polytrade's payout infrastructure. Following this airdrop, the old NFTs have been retired. Please check your wallets for the new NFTs. Value will be stored in the newly minted tokens instead of the old ones.

Future Royalty Payouts

The responsibility for royalty payments remains with the rightsholders. Polytrade will ensure that royalties received are distributed within 30 days, paid out through airdrop, maintaining the bi-annual payout schedule you are accustomed to. Anotherblock is committed to assisting Polytrade in the collection process to ensure continuity and efficiency.

Community Transition

As Polytrade assumes responsibility for royalty distribution, they will take over as the primary point of contact on their own Discord server. We’re keen to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible, and as such, certain channels on the Anotherblock Discord server will stay live, and we will continue to provide support on tickets until 1st October.

FAQs

What happens with my old NFTs?

Old NFTs will be rendered invalid and exchanged for new NFTs, which will be copies of the original ones. These have been airdropped to your wallet.

Do we need to do anything to receive the new NFTs?

No action is required on your part to receive the new NFTs. They have been automatically airdropped to the wallet holding your original NFTs on September 23, 2024.

Will there still be new releases?

Currently, there are no new releases planned.

What happens to Jackson 5 or other vinyls?

Our digital vinyls, except for the Jackson 5, will remain as they are; the music is stored and available in the metadata for access, including playback on spinamp.xyz. The Jackson 5 vinyl is now stored on Arweave (immutable storage) with Lit Protocol encryption. This ensures that even if the player is not reinstated, the music will always remain available onchain, and NFT holders will always be able to access it. What happens to Anotherblock Discord?

Polytrade will take over as the primary point of contact on their Discord server, which will feature a dedicated channel for music NFT holders. To support the transition, some channels on the Anotherblock Discord will remain active and we’ll continue to provide support for any tickets until October 1st, 2024. After that, the Anotherblock Discord will become inactive, with only the announcement channel remaining to facilitate redirects and transitions.
